So last night I told one of the scariest things to ever happen to me. I'm bored at work so I typed it up :pI've also Included a pic I took a while back when I was in this ghost town in Nevada.
This is a true occurance (also better read at night time):
Okay to begin with a little about me. I’m a little weird. I like to take road trips by myself at night to places I’ve never been before. This was 6 years ago when I lived in Colorado. One Friday night I was bored waiting at home for my bf to get back from whatever he was doing. So I decided to take one of my ‘little road trips’ into the mountains. I must have driven at least 50 miles. I finally turned off onto a dirt road into a dense forest area. I kept driving and made a few turns off different roads. The territory was unfamiliar to me and it being night time I was bewildered by my surroundings. I finally made it to a nice open road, there was a bright moon out so it lit up the area, it was very beautiful. I could see deer run off into the wilderness alarmed by my headlights. As I drove an old abandoned house came into view. I love to collect things from these places like old lanterns or wagon wheels and was hoping I would find some sort of treasure awaiting rescue. So I pulled off the road and I stopped my car in front of the house. I got out of my car and left the lights on and the engine running.
The old house was boarded up and had no door; the wood looked old and weathered. I walked up to the door way and peeked inside. My headlights lit up the room so I decided to go inside. There was allot of broken pieces of wood inside the house, it was musky and looked like it had been abandoned for quite some time. I realized there was nothing interesting in this room. I noticed another open doorway through a small hallway to the right of where I was standing. With my confidence being a bit on the uppity up I decided to enter. The room was pitch black … I couldn’t see anything at all. I walked in and decided this wasn’t a good idea. I started reversing my steps but something caught my leg and I fell backwards smashing the back of my head onto the wall behind me. I must have passed out for a few seconds, upon awakening, sheer panic arouse throughout my entire body. I was in this room, my vision fuzzy and I didn’t see anyway to get out. I got up and started patting the walls looking for the door. Finally I hit air and stepped back into the hallway. What was this? It’s still dark in here. What happened to my car lights? I was starting to cry and could see beams of moonlight through the cracks of wood in the boarded up windows. I ran outside and looked around; I heard my car’s engine running. I ran up to my car and leaned upon the hood as if hugging a long lost friend. The tears running down my cheek, I started to feel a cold chill run throughout my body. I quickly turned around. There was a man standing behind me in the open field.
I stood there paralyzed, fear and adrenaline pumping through every vessel in my body, the only sound was the beat of my racing heart. I started to breathe hard as if I just ran a mile, I was terrified. The figure was a pitch black silhouette of a man. Even though the moon lit up everything in the surrounding area, the figure had no reflection at all, that’s how I could see it. The dark figure stood about 10 yards away from me and made no movement what so ever, it was lifeless. At this point I started to relax a bit thinking my mind was getting the better of me. Suddenly the figure began walking off into the direction of the forest. The overwhelming power of my emotional senses took control and I dove into my car. I slammed the door and locked it. I glanced up through the window and the figure was still there, walking slowly though the field. I tried turning on my lights, but the switch was already turned to the “on” position, as I had left it. At this point I’m a bit hysterical. I quickly turn off my car and turn it back on, I looked up once more, the figure was still there but had changed, and it looked like nothing, more so like an animal running around. I tried my lights once again. BAM, they came on this time! The figure was gone, as if it were never there. I put my car in gear and made like a bat outta hell. As I sped away I looked into my review mirror … the figure was standing in the middle of the road.
To this day I wonder if what I saw was an actual apparition or just a figment of my over active imagination caused by the blow to my head.
I have never gone on another road trip nor will I go back to mountains of Colorado at night.
On my trip to a Ghost Town, I had some odd things happen. I also took this pic, which shows the face of a man! 0_0
